Ready, Set, Gig! for Android is in Google Play closed testing, so it isn’t on the public Play Store just yet. Here’s what that means before you carry on.
This is the same production app that’s already live on the App Store for iPhone, not a stripped-down preview. Google requires a closed testing period before any app can go on the public Play Store, and that’s the stage it’s at right now.
Bands aren’t tied to one platform. If some of your bandmates are on iPhone and some are on Android, you’re all still in the same band with the same songs, ratings, rehearsals and gigs. Anything you add here shows up for them on iOS, and anything they add shows up for you.
Every band, song rating, rehearsal and gig you add now is genuine production data. When the app moves to the public Play Store, your account and everything in it carries straight across. There’s no reset and no separate test data.
The more people who join the testing group, the sooner Ready, Set, Gig! can graduate to a full public Play Store listing for everyone.
